Disposal

There is a 10% discount on the disposal for all accounts paid within 7 days!

Sumps are disposed of at the County Landfill in the County they are located.

Washington County Landfill

Washington County Landfill charges $50 a ton for this type of waste and requires a cur-rent TCLP Test for Heavy Metals (tests are good for 6 months), and a Letter from the Waste Generator (you), stating, when it was pumped and who pumped it. It takes 2 weeks to get the results for the TCLP test.

Don't get stuck in the emergency nightmare of a backed up, full sump with no "Current Test". Plan ahead! If the test is expired by 1 day, the landfill will not except it!

The price for disposal will vary considerably depending on the amount of Sand, Silt and Gravel in the Sump. For example; a 1000 gal sump that is all water and oil will cost around $200 (.20 cents a gal.) for disposal. A 1000 gal. sump that is all Sand and Silt can be closer to $400 (.40 cents a gal).
